Buddha's deep meditation pose takes us back to the Burma legend of the Buddha's first sermon. Afterwards, he ascended to the heavens, where he taught and preached about Dharma to the gods and his deceased mother. After the completion of the preaching, he triumphantly returned to the earth accompanied by the God Brahma and Indra in a crown. Thus, the large coronet on the Buddha's head refers to the Buddha's descent from heaven. A Buddha statue is considered to bring positivity and feng shui energy.
A popular location for a Buddha statue is displayed off the floor near the main entry area of the home. Since he is also considered the patron of children, the figure could be perfect for a child's room.
